Slovakia's Attractions for Children: A Magical Labyrinth and Castle in Stará Lubovňa. Visiting is Pure Pleasure

Few people know that Nowy Sącz and Stará Lubovňa in Slovakia are partner cities, separated by just 45 kilometers. In other words, it’s only an hour's drive. It sounds like the perfect weekend getaway for the family. After all, the Slovak town has a lot to offer. Stará Lubovňa is situated along the Jakubinka River and boasts the newly completed largest labyrinth in this part of Europe. The site, located in Victoria Gardens, took three years to complete and opened in 2019. The labyrinth's hedges are two meters high and create over three kilometers of corridors. Could there be a better setting for a mysterious photo session or a walk with the little ones? Especially since in the center of the labyrinth, there’s a viewing tower that offers a panoramic view of the picturesque surroundings. From there, you can also see the medieval castle from the 13th century, perched on Devil's Rock. According to Slovak legend, the devil himself brought the huge boulder on which the fortress was built. But that’s not all. The walk through the labyrinth has been specially enhanced with younger visitors in mind.
