A perfect option is an interesting alternative to classic meatballs—Lviv cutlets, which hide a surprise in their juicy interior.

  3. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and sauté it until golden brown. Once it cools, add it to the meat along with the pressed garlic, squeezed bread roll, salt, pepper, and egg.
  4. Knead the mixture thoroughly—this will enhance the flavor of the meat.
  5. Take a small portion of the meat mixture, gently flatten it in your hand, place some grated cheese in the center, and shape it into a neat cutlet.
  6. Coat each cutlet in breadcrumbs and fry them on both sides in well-heated oil.
  7. Drain the Lviv specialty on a paper towel. Serve with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes and beets.
