This recipe will surely appeal to anyone who enjoys meat and bold flavors. A classic stew takes on new life thanks to the addition of floury dumplings. These dumplings give the dish a fresh twist and make it even more hearty.

Recipe for Stew with Dumplings
Ingredients for the dumplings:
1 cup of wheat flour
1 cup of coarse wheat flour (krupczatka)
2 eggs
300 ml of milk
30 g of fresh yeast
1 teaspoon of fine sugar
2 teaspoons of salt
Ingredients for the stew:
600 g of stewing beef
1 medium onion
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
1 tablespoon of caraway seeds
1 tablespoon of butter
5 cloves of garlic
2 teaspoons of hot paprika powder
3 teaspoons of sweet paprika powder
2 tablespoons of wheat flour
Bay leaves
Allspice berries
Salt
Pepper

Instructions for the dumplings:
Pour the milk into a saucepan and warm it slightly. Then, add sugar, crumbled fresh yeast, salt, and 2 tablespoons of wheat flour. Mix thoroughly and set aside to rise for 10 minutes.
After this time, pour the starter into a larger bowl, add the remaining wheat flour and coarse flour, and gently knead the dough.
Leave the prepared dough covered for about 40 minutes to rise. After this time, divide the dough into smaller pieces and shape them into balls about the size of a walnut.
Transfer the prepared dumplings to boiling salted water and cook for about 10 minutes after they float to the surface.
Instructions for the stew:
Cut the meat into medium-sized cubes. Place in a bowl and season with hot and sweet paprika, as well as wheat flour. Mix thoroughly and fry in hot butter.
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Add them to the frying meat, and finally, pour in the tomato paste. Stir and continue frying over medium heat.
Add bay leaves and allspice to the mixture. Finally, season with caraway seeds, salt, and pepper, and simmer the meat covered until the sauce thickens.
Serve the prepared stew with warm dumplings.
