What could be wrong with posting pictures with your boyfriend or girlfriend? After all, thousands of couples do it, and the world doesn't end because of it. It turns out that innocent photos where you appear together might have a hidden meaning. Sexologist Nikki Goldstein proposed a theory that later initiated research conducted by scientists from Northwestern University in the U.S. The researchers analyzed the relationships of over a hundred couples and reached rather controversial conclusions.

The couples were asked to log their social media activities and experiences with their partners daily. After analyzing the results, the scientists were able to confirm Goldstein's hypothesis.

The experiment showed that those who didn't feel secure in their relationship tended to share joyful photos with their partner more frequently. Simply put, the study found that couples who flaunt their relationship on social media aren't truly happy together,
