Bohemian Switzerland National Park (in Czech: Národní park České Švýcarsko) is located in the northern part of the Czech Republic, about an hour's drive from the Polish border. Bohemian Switzerland is primarily known for its monumental rock labyrinths and gorges, as well as breathtaking views that you can explore with your dog. The top attractions of the area include:
- Pravčická Brána, the largest sandstone arch in Europe. You could say it’s the main symbol of this place, and it’s accessible via a relatively easy trail. Right next to it (or rather, beneath it) is a charming little palace.
- Edmund’s Gorge and Wild Gorge. It’s important to note that the Kamenice River runs through these gorges, so it’s impossible to traverse them entirely on foot. Fortunately, you can take advantage of the boats that operate there, which will certainly add to the experience. The rocks rise as high as 150 meters above the waterline, creating an impressive sight.

If you have some extra time, be sure to visit Mariina Skála, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the area. Another interesting spot is Falkenštejn, a rock that once housed an entire castle, accessible via a narrow crevice. Additionally, near Bohemian Switzerland, in the town of Kamenický Šenov, you’ll find an attraction reminiscent of Icelandic landscapes - the giant basalt columns known as Panská Skála.
