Demand Increased After the Pandemic

The study "The Role and Challenges of Procurement Departments in Poland" was conducted using the CAWI method and included 922 specialists and managers from procurement departments between March 20 and April 11, 2024. The results indicate that Poland is one of the favored locations for shared service centers. Two years ago, there were as many as 1.6 thousand of them. The increased demand for experts correlates with the rise in salaries for those employed in this position.

Monika Droździak, director at Sodexo Poland, emphasized in an interview with Money.pl that since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for procurement specialists has skyrocketed. "One manifestation of this is the 10% increase in salaries in the supply chain. It’s one of the biggest wage jumps at the beginning of the decade," she noted.
