Katarzyna Sowińska wanted to complete her acting studies at the Warsaw Theatre Academy, but her age was a barrier. So, in 2010, she decided to try her luck in Los Angeles, where there are no age restrictions for students. "I made a quick decision. I sold my apartment, my car, took my savings, and left," she said in an interview.
Everything was going according to plan. Katarzyna Sowińska completed her studies at the Howard Fine Acting Studio and later at the Margie Haber Studio. She planned to spend two years overseas, and just when she was about to return to Poland, she met Luis Miguel, a Latin singer, and started touring with him. They performed in several states across the USA, in Argentina, Colombia, and Venezuela. However, Sowińska did not give up on her acting career. She attended auditions but with little success.
