Patrick Swayze was involved in dance from a young age. He attended the Joffrey Ballet School in New York and traveled the world with the renowned ballet company, Buffalo Ballet Company. He made his acting debut in the 1979 musical comedy "Skatetown, U.S.A." The film that opened the door to his career was "Dirty Dancing", released in theaters in 1987, where Patrick played Johnny Castle.
In "Dirty Dancing," Swayze showcased his acting, dancing, and singing talents. Women everywhere swooned over him, and "People" magazine named him the sexiest man alive. In 1970, during ballet courses, he met his future wife, Lisa Niemi. They married five years later, and in 1990, Lisa became pregnant.
I was overjoyed. Unfortunately, it all ended after four and a half months. A visit to the gynecologist was like a death sentence: the fetus was dead
- the actor revealed in an interview. The couple never had any children. In January 2008, another blow struck Patrick when he was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. He underwent surgery and started chemotherapy, but it did not yield the desired results.
Swayze passed away during the night of September 14-15, 2009. After his death, disturbing reports began to surface in the media. His wife was allegedly abusive toward him, controlled his assets, and limited his contact with people. The actor's friend Charlotte Stevens also claimed that Lisa had cheated on Patrick. Niemi remarried and sold all of the actor's belongings, including Ranch Bizarro, where his ashes had been scattered. Swayze's family was outraged by her actions.
Since his death, all she cares about is money. We don't talk to Lisa. I don't care whether she lives or dies
- said Patrick's brother, Sean Swayze. The actor's family was shocked once again in July 2017 when "Globe" magazine reported that the star had an illegitimate son. Jason Whittle was allegedly the result of an affair between Swayze and Bonne Kay Whittle. However, Lisa Niemi denied these claims, and the man in question never officially commented on the matter.
