The dramatic weight loss we see in many Hollywood stars is the result of using Ozempic, a drug that contains semaglutide. It’s recommended for adults with type 2 diabetes because it lowers blood sugar levels. Unfortunately, more and more people without medical indications are using it.
One of the side effects of Ozempic therapy is a loss of appetite and rapid weight loss. This trend is particularly dangerous because using the drug by healthy individuals can lead to side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and even pancreatitis. Psychologist Mateusz Grzesiak recently addressed this issue.
The expert posted pictures of celebrities on his Facebook profile, showcasing those promoting the controversial weight loss method.
These distorted faces in the photos show celebrities after Ozempic treatments, with what’s called the 'Ozempic face.' They have sunken eyes, hollow cheeks, and sagging skin. Officially, this drug is meant for diabetics to treat diabetes, but in practice, it's often used, even without doctors' guidance, for weight loss
- he wrote.
He went on to emphasize that "valuable things are hard to achieve", which is why many people take shortcuts.
It's hard to become a millionaire, which is why only one in 1,000 people in Poland are millionaires. It's hard to have a successful relationship, which is why most people live unhappily or break up. It's also hard to build a good physique because it requires effort, sweat, and tears, breaking stubborn habits, and time
- he continued.
Dr. Mateusz Grzesiak pointed out that using Ozempic by healthy individuals can be just as dangerous as abusing alcohol or drugs. "Not everyone is ready to sacrifice months or years, money, energy, and other resources to go through the often long journey to success. It's easier to take a drug than to deal with fears and shyness. It's quicker to drink than to process rejection. It’s simpler to take injections than to go on a diet and exercise regularly," he explained. He concluded by saying:
By taking shortcuts, we are creating an entire generation of hollow people with a beautiful outer shell. Smiling faces that aren’t really happy. Strong erections but based on very weak self-worth. Slim bodies driven by a fat and rejecting image of themselves. Those who want it easy will have it hard. Those who are ready to have it hard will find it easy.
