What happened: On Wednesday, September 25, around 10 a.m., a fight broke out in the Old Botanical Garden near the Neptune Fountain in Munich, as reported by German police. A 57-year-old man was injured in the altercation. Paramedics were called to the scene, treated the victim, and transported him to the hospital. Despite the doctors' efforts, they were unable to save the man's life, and he died from his injuries.
Preliminary investigations revealed that several people may have been involved in the fight. Among them was 30-year-old Rafał Artur Pawlak. According to Bild, the incident was captured on several cameras, showing Pawlak hitting the victim in the face. Another man reportedly kicked the 57-year-old in the buttocks. The victim fell but managed to stand up. At that moment, Pawlak allegedly delivered a kung-fu kick to the man's face, causing life-threatening injuries.
Police have arrested two men suspected of being involved in the fight. One of them is believed to have kicked the 57-year-old, while the other is listed as a witness. On Wednesday, police conducted searches of three apartments in the Munich districts of Milbertshofen, Schwabing, and Thalkirchen. They found Pawlak's clothing in one of the apartments, but he was not present.
Search for Pawlak: There is a possibility that Rafał Pawlak may be trying to return to Poland, and German police are actively searching for him. Bild journalists have reported that the 30-year-old is known to the police for previous violent offenses.
