Sułoszowa is a small village located in the Małopolska Voivodeship, more specifically in the Olkusz Upland. Its southern part (Pieskowa Skała) is part of the Ojców National Park. If you’re looking for a peaceful and charming place for a weekend trip, you should definitely visit.

One Street, Houses, and Endless Fields. Be Amazed by Sułoszowa

What makes Sułoszowa unique is the fact that it is one of the longest linear villages in Poland. What does this mean in practice? The village is traversed by a single road, along which almost all the houses with red or gray roofs are built in straight lines. Behind them stretch kilometers of farmland. All of this creates a truly phenomenal view from above.

But that’s not the end of the attractions. Sułoszowa is crossed by the Eagles' Nests Trail, which includes Pieskowa Skała Castle, and by a European cultural and pilgrimage route, one of the St. James' Ways leading to the Santiago de Compostela sanctuary. There are also limestone rock formations, including Hercules' Club, a famous feature of the Ojców National Park. So, if you’re exploring the area, it’s worth straying from the beaten path to visit this extraordinary place. Especially since it has recently caught the attention of international media. From Kraków, you can get there in less than 45 minutes.

Foreign Media Wrote About This Polish Village. "Like a Postcard"

Last year, photos of Sułoszowa circulated the internet, bringing significant attention to the village. It was covered by the portal pubity.com, where it was called "a little Tuscany," as well as "Daily Mail". The article’s authors referred to it as a "hidden gem of Europe." It’s no surprise, as the aerial view is truly stunning: a long road lined with small houses, and behind them, green fields that change shades in summer and autumn.
