The Jagiellonia Białystok players gave their fans a wonderful gift by winning 2-1 away against FC Copenhagen in the opening of the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League. "Will Białystok sleep tonight? I’m not sure if we’ll manage to either! But we have a very important match in three days, so we’ll have to somehow," joked Białystok football hero Darko Czurlinow after the match at Parken, whose goal in the 97th minute gave Jagiellonia a sensational victory. "I believe we will remember this match for years, I certainly will," said a delighted coach Adrian Siemieniec. His Jaga is learning incredibly fast and in their debut in the league phase of European competitions, they used the painful experiences from the qualifiers to their advantage - wrote our correspondent at the match, Jakub Seweryn.

Here’s what Copenhagen fans did after the match

The Danish media were furious after the match. "Shock," "A stab in the back," "A bucket of cold water on the head" were just some of the phrases that appeared.

The Danish fans were also very unhappy. "What just happened at Parken?! When Darko Czurlinow scored 2-1 for Jagiellonia Białystok in the last action of the match, the legendary stadium in Copenhagen simply went silent! Only 700 fans from Białystok, separated from the rest of the stadium by huge buffer zones, were cheering," added Jakub Seweryn from Copenhagen.

The fans also vented their anger. When the home players approached the section with the most passionate supporters, they were met with very loud boos.

"The Danes went for a disciplinary talk. Copenhagen was terribly booed at Parken…" wrote journalist Jakub Kłyszejko on the X platform.

After the first round, Siemieniec's team is in eleventh place in the table. In the second round, they will face the team from Moldova - Petrocub Hincesti, who lost 1-4 at home to Pafos FC on Thursday.

The match is scheduled for October 24 at 18:45. Live coverage will be available on Sport.pl and in the Sport.pl LIVE mobile app.
