"The Penguin" with Colin Farrell Breaks Viewership Records. Critics Praise the Production

Critics have also praised "The Penguin." While The Guardian gave the production five stars and praised Colin Farrell, stating that he "deserves all the awards," Variety described the series as "twisted, disturbing, and deeply fascinating." The New York Times noted that the production evokes a wide range of gangster stories, including The Godfather and The Sopranos. On Rotten Tomatoes, "The Penguin" has garnered 94 percent positive reviews from critics.

"The Penguin" is a spin-off series of Matt Reeves' 2022 film "The Batman." The new production is set in Gotham and takes viewers behind the scenes of the city's criminal underworld. Colin Farrell plays the main antagonist, Oswald Cobblepot, and is almost unrecognizable due to his makeup. In the United States, "The Penguin" premiered on September 19, while in Poland, it was released a day later. So far, the first two episodes of the series are available on Max. Initially, "The Penguin" was supposed to be released exclusively for streaming, but it ultimately also aired on HBO.
