He arrived at the national team camp dressed like this. 3.5 million views

After the Nations League matches in September, another international break awaits us in October. Most of Europe's top footballers reported for their national teams on Monday. Among them, Didier Deschamps called up Ibrahima Konate, who joined his French teammates in a rather unusual, and above all, extravagant outfit.

Some footballers pay as much attention to fashion as they do to diet, match preparation, or tactics. On the Polish scene, it's impossible not to mention Grzegorz Krychowiak in this context. The former Polish national team player often surprised fans with elegant outfits, which he showcased during national team gatherings.

However, the French are the true masters in this area. It’s well known that fashion is a great passion of Jules Koundé. Robert Lewandowski’s Barcelona teammate recently took part in a rather puzzling advertising collaboration that didn’t sit well with some fans. Nevertheless, the 25-year-old is considered a style icon by many, proving it time and again with his bold fashion choices.

Meanwhile, another French national team player, Ibrahima Konaté, seems to have decided to outshine the Barcelona player in the race for the most extravagant and innovative "look." Photos and videos have surfaced on social media showing the Liverpool defender's outfit as he arrived at the French national team camp.

The first thing that stands out is the upper part of his outfit, which somewhat resembles a balaclava without the eye holes. It seems that Koundé has inspired his teammates to take fashion risks, and now the French media are abuzz with talk. "Each time Les Bleus arrive at Clairefontaine, it’s like a fashion show," wrote "L'Equipe." And it’s hard not to agree with that statement.

The video published by "L'Equipe" on the X platform has already been viewed over 3.5 million times.

When Konaté stepped out of the car, he turned to the journalists and said: "You don’t know who I am? Try to guess." He then unzipped his green hood and smiled at the reporters. His unusual outfit caused a stir among fans. "Is this supposed to set an example for young players?", "Explain yourself," "What is this? What’s going on?" wrote some of the online commentators. Others, however, appreciated the English club player's sense of style. Now, Jules Koundé has a worthy rival in the fashion battle.

In October, the French national team will face Israel and Belgium in the Nations League.
