North Macedonia is full of picturesque landscapes. You can enjoy a stunning view over Lake Ohrid, one of the oldest lakes in the world. The town of Ohrid, located on its shore, is a cultural and historical gem, known for numerous monuments like churches and ancient ruins.

A cheaper version of Lake Como. You’ll find it in North Macedonia

A TikTok user, @justyna_traveles, recently shared her travel discovery. In her video, she presents Lake Ohrid as a more affordable alternative to Lake Como, assuring viewers that tourists won’t spend much here. A meal for two in a restaurant costs around 60 PLN, and accommodation is available from just 30 PLN. Viewers in the comments section echo the creator’s sentiments.

Best in September. They make ajvar at home and distill rakija. You can rent a boat. The water in the lake is clean and warm.

I went and really enjoyed it! Only stayed a day and regret it was so short. Highly recommend.

Historic city of Ohrid. Breathtaking views and unique architecture
