Pizza is a delicacy known worldwide. It's said that the best pizza can be found in Italy, but we challenge that theory. Try the Polish version, which is rich in diverse flavors, and you'll never want to eat anything else.

Pizza is enjoyed all over the world, and there's no doubt that many people would list it as their favorite dish. The Italian-originated flatbread, topped with sauce and various toppings, is not only served in restaurants but is also recreated at home by many. Ewa Wachowicz has also shared a recipe for this treat. However, her version is slightly different from the most popular one. The toppings are a bit unique, and as she described the dish, it’s a Polish version. It includes sausage, pumpkin, and even oscypek cheese.

Instructions:
Start by preparing the yeast mixture. Crumble the fresh yeast into a bowl, add sugar, and pour warm water over it. Set the mixture aside in a warm place, covered, for about 30 minutes.
In a larger bowl, sift the flour and add olive oil. Also, add salt and the dissolved yeast mixture. Gently mix everything with a wooden spoon, then start kneading with your hands.
Divide the dough into two equal parts and form each into a ball. Sprinkle each ball with flour and leave them covered to rise for about an hour.
In the meantime, prepare the sauce. Transfer the sour cream to a bowl and add the grated cheese. Add the egg yolk and minced garlic, and mix thoroughly.
Stretch the risen dough with your hands on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Shape it into a round flatbread. Next, spread the prepared sauce over it and arrange the prepared toppings on top. Sprinkle with salt. Repeat the process with the second flatbread.
Bake the prepared pizzas in a preheated oven at 230°C for about 30 minutes.
After baking, garnish with fresh basil and arugula. Drizzle the top with olive oil.
