Chopin Airport in Warsaw is implementing new conveniences for travelers, particularly aimed at the elderly. - Due to the increasing traffic at our airport, the wait time to reach security checks can sometimes be extended. We understand that this can be a significant inconvenience and challenge for older individuals -  says Adam Sanocki, a board member of PPL, as quoted in a press release.

Warsaw: Seniors Can Check In Without Waiting and for Free

To improve their comfort, we have decided to offer the Fast Track service free of charge to people over 70 years old. We hope this will make passing through our airport easier and more seamless for seniors

- Sanocki explains. The service helps speed up the process of going through security checks, saving time and avoiding long queues.

At Chopin Airport, this expedited passage is available in two locations. One is in Terminal B, next to the Johnny Rockets restaurant, and the other in Terminal E, near the PLL LOT check-in counters. The service is also available to other passengers, but for an additional fee. The current airport price list states that the Fast Track service costs 40 PLN. However, from August 20th, passengers who are 70 years old or will turn 70 this year can use it for free.

The Mysterious Room at Chopin Airport - Opened Last Month

Last month, Chopin Airport also introduced a room that may interest seniors. This is the so-called "quiet room".

We understand that for passengers who struggle with being in crowds, noise, and the stress often associated with air travel, navigating through the airport can be a significant mental challenge. The quiet room was created specifically for them, providing a space where they can relax, unwind, and de-stress in peace and solitude before continuing their journey

- explains Sanocki.

The quiet room is located on level 300 of the terminal. The airport assures that this area is less frequented by passengers, ensuring a quiet environment. The room features a comfortable beanbag chair and a soft carpet. The walls are adorned with neutral posters. "Everything in the room promotes relaxation and guarantees an escape from the hustle and intrusive stimuli" - the airport states. Importantly, the quiet room is available to all passengers at no additional cost.
