Parents Posted a Video from the Airplane, Shocking Viewers: "Incredibly Selfish"

Young parents took their baby, who had a very high fever, on an eight-hour flight. Not only did they see nothing wrong with it, but they also shared the experience on social media. The crying baby disturbed other passengers, and the internet didn't hold back in criticizing the parents.

Alina, the mother of the baby and an online content creator, recently posted a video on TikTok of their family trip to Thailand. There would be nothing wrong with this, except for the fact that the young parents brought their baby, who had a 40-degree Celsius fever (104°F), on the plane. In the video, it’s clear that the flight took place at night, and at one point, the baby woke up and cried the entire time.

Feverish Baby on an Eight-Hour Flight Sparks Outrage Among Viewers

The parents' irresponsible behavior upset many online. The main issue that angered viewers was the fact that a feverish baby was on the plane, potentially exposing other passengers to illness.

"You don't care that others on board could get sick. This is incredibly selfish, and it’s terrifying that you’re doing this to both your child and others";
"A 40-degree fever? That baby should be in a hospital, not on a flight to Thailand";
"That’s why my son always gets sick after flying";
"I couldn’t do that. I would’ve gone home, put my baby to bed, and waited until they recovered"

- wrote users in the comments.

Although Alina explained that the baby was only teething and not actually sick, and that she had reduced the fever with medication, it didn’t change the public’s opinion of her actions. Especially after she mentioned that the trip cost $3,000 (around 11,500 PLN), and they couldn’t cancel without losing all their money.

Traveling with a Feverish Baby: Not the Only Mishap on Their Trip

Viewers were quick to tell the young mother that their children’s health is more important than travel expenses. "My son is worth more to me than $3,000, but that’s just my opinion," and "My child’s health and well-being are priceless," wrote users, criticizing the parents' decision.

To make matters worse, in another video, the parents admitted that they both suffered from food poisoning during their stay in Thailand, likely caused by drinking contaminated local tap water.
