At Enfidha-Hammamet Airport in Tunisia, over 150 Polish tourists waited for 15-16 hours for a flight to Warsaw.

We've been stranded at the airport for 16 hours. There's an issue with providing any information, drinks, food, or even cleaning the toilets

- one passenger told Radio ZET, which reported on the situation.

Poles Stuck at Tunisian Airport

The flight was scheduled to depart at 7:00 PM local time on Thursday, September 12. Two attempts were made to take off, but both were unsuccessful. Rainbow Tours, the travel agency organizing the trip, told Radio ZET that a technical issue with the plane forced multiple delays. They assured that travelers were transported to a hotel "as quickly as possible" while waiting for the flight.

Eventually, flight LO6550, instead of taking place on Thursday, departed on Friday, September 13. The tourists left Tunisia at 4:37 PM Polish time and landed in Warsaw at 9:08 PM.

Tunisian Airports Unlucky for Polish Tourists

Unfortunately, this is another such case in a matter of days. On September 8, around 150 Polish tourists were also stranded at Monastir Airport in Tunisia. The scenario was nearly identical to the events of September 12. After waiting for hours to return home, the flight was eventually canceled and rescheduled for the following day.

There were a few differences in these stories. After arriving at the airport on Monday, September 9, the delay issue occurred again, forcing passengers to wait at the airport. This time, the trip was organized by the travel agency EXIM Tours.
