She Packed Her 9-Year-Old Daughter's Toiletry Bag for School. What Was Inside? "It's a Must-Have"

In the past, girls mainly carried notebooks and books to school. Nowadays, even young girls are starting to care about their appearance. So, it's no surprise that you might often find toiletry bags in their backpacks. But what exactly is inside?

While some people focus on notebooks and crayons when it comes to school supplies, others think more broadly. According to some parents, even a 9-year-old girl’s backpack has room for a toiletry bag. One such example is a mother who recorded a TikTok video about what she packed in her daughter's school toiletry bag.

What Should Be in a Girl’s Toiletry Bag?

On the TikTok profile @womanasia, where the woman shares various beauty and makeup tips, she posted a video advising what to pack in a 9-year-old girl's school toiletry bag.

Must-have items are dry and wet wipes. These will literally come in handy anywhere. Hand cream, of course, because when we write with chalk in class, our hands get very dry, and this small item can definitely improve your mood. A spare hair tie, a hairbrush (...), lip balm, and a scented body mist

- she lists, showing the products she packs for her daughter. In her opinion, all of these can be useful for the girl.

Even Young Girls Are Reaching for Cosmetics

A toiletry bag for a young schoolgirl? What might have seemed strange in the past is now something many parents are used to. Unfortunately, even seven-year-old girls are treated by the beauty industry as potential clients. There are lines of cosmetics inspired by cartoon characters or popular candies. Girls, even before they can fully read, are starting to have their own "skincare routines" - all under the guise of "self-care".

In cosmetic stores, it's common to see groups of young girls searching for products promoted by their favorite influencers. They are called the "Sephora Kids" generation. Some parents view this with amusement, while others are concerned and aware that young girls shouldn't be using the same beauty products as adult women. In fact, it raises the question of whether skincare should even be a concern for children at all.
