According to Filmweb.pl, Tinder asked users about the best movie for a date. Comedy ranked first, with 71% of users favoring it, but horror was close behind at 69%. With Halloween just around the corner, and most of us enjoying a good scare, here are some of the top horror movie picks for a date.

Singles overwhelmingly chose the genre classic Halloween as their top horror pick for a date. The 1978 film follows Michael Myers, a dangerous murderer who escapes from a psychiatric hospital the day before Halloween. Dr. Loomis, his psychiatrist, takes on the pursuit to stop him.

"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre": Seven Films About a Deranged Killer

Second on the list is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, another horror classic. The main character is Leatherface, a sadistic killer who uses a chainsaw to murder his victims. The series includes seven films, with the latest installment premiering in 2017.

"Child's Play": A Killer Trapped in a Doll’s Body Seeks Revenge

Who isn’t terrified of creepy dolls? Child’s Play, directed by Tom Holland, first hit theaters in 1988 and has since grown into a series with eight films, as well as a 2021 TV show. The story follows Charles Lee Ray, a killer who transforms into a doll named Chucky instead of dying. Chucky not only looks terrifying but also kills in a disturbingly sadistic and creative way.
