Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik is serving her first term in the European Parliament. She ran in the elections on behalf of the Confederation and received over 102,000 votes. During her first speech regarding the re-election of Ursula von der Leyen for a second term, she attacked the President of the European Commission.
Electing you in the previous term was a huge mistake, and some people still have a hangover from it
- she thundered from the podium. She also stated that von der Leyen's place is "in prison, not in the European Commission".
Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik was asked by Bogdan Rymanowski on "Gość Radia ZET" if she would ever shake hands with Ursula von der Leyen. "We can greet each other. Nothing more. There was a moment when we walked next to each other, looked at each other, and went our separate ways" - she replied. It turns out that the MEP has some unpleasant memories of the President of the European Commission.
There was a moment when I was speaking from the podium in the European Parliament, and she turned to two gentlemen, and the thought crossed my mind that she might be issuing a hit order on me
- she recounted. She then emphasized that "it was a brief thought".
"A lot of people later warned me to be careful" - she admitted. When asked how Ursula von der Leyen could harm her, she began to list: "You can strike at the family, directly at the person, use EU institutions to excessively monitor their movements and scrutinize every euro spent, and demand documents that I am unable to provide".
Her (Ursula von der Leyen's) presence as the head of the European Commission is a further decline of the European Union. The anti-economic Green Deal, the migration pact threatening security, the ban on the sale of combustion engine cars, increasing censorship on social media, new EU taxes, rising energy bills, and a whole host of climate madness. Our economic security, the security of our borders, and millions of families are at risk
- Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik wrote shortly after Ursula von der Leyen was elected for a second term.
The Confederation MEP also stated that the President of the European Commission "won't have it easy with her".
We want a Europe of free and sovereign nations, not a sick leftist ideology. Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen, this certainly wasn't our last meeting. See you in Brussels!
