It’s no secret that some jobs require more sacrifice than others. Many of them also come with a lot of stress. So, which workers are considered the least happy?
Patrick, an internet content creator who specializes in education about finance and careers, shared his findings on TikTok, where over 237,000 people follow him. In a recent video, he discussed the most unhappy professions and listed five of them. So, which jobs made the list?
When selecting these jobs, Patrick considered several reasons, including:
At the top of the list are sales managers. This profession is highly results-driven and can be extremely stressful. If you underperform or lose productivity, you’re immediately at risk. The silver lining is that if you work hard, you can expect good pay. In fourth place, which might not surprise many, are nurses. "I’ve seen with my own eyes how exhausted, stressed, and overworked nurses are in the emergency room," Patrick said in his video.
Which jobs ranked higher? Retail workers, the people you see in stores, came in third. Like sales, it’s a results-driven job, but the work environment is often stressful. Cashiers took second place, as they have to deal with rude customers daily, which can be incredibly draining. The profession deemed the most unhappy, yet still in high demand, is customer service representative. This is especially true for those working remotely, where people tend to be even more rude.
If you work in this field, you already know you deal with a lot of nonsense on a daily basis
