Zoja Skubis gained popularity by documenting her experience studying at School in the Cloud. She initially attended high school in Rzeszów and later in Warsaw.

It was tough for me there. I felt overwhelmed by the sheer amount of knowledge required of me, much of which is not useful in adult life

- she said in an interview with noizz.pl. This led her to switch to homeschooling.

Homeschooling allowed the 19-year-old more time to pursue her passions, including travel, sports, and mountains. She has always enjoyed exercising.

At the age of eight, I started roller skating professionally, and when I was 13, I made it to the national team in freestyle slalom skating. Now, my training is focused on high-altitude climbing

- she said. Zoja has already roller-skated around Singapore and completed a half-marathon in the Arctic Circle. Now, she has added summiting an eight-thousander to her list of achievements.

The youngest Polish woman on an 8k! I did it! Yesterday at 5:09 a.m., I stood on the summit of Manaslu, the eighth-highest mountain in the world. After a year of preparation, 3 weeks in Base Camp, and a four-day summit push, I made it

- she wrote on her Instagram profile.

Where is Manaslu? A true challenge for mountaineers

Manaslu is located in the northern part of Nepal, in the Lamjung district, reaching an elevation of 8,163 meters above sea level. The peak is known as the "Mountain of the Spirit" or the "S*** Mountai". Three glaciers flow from its slopes: Manaslu, Pungen, and Thulagi. It is known for its significant relative height, making it an extraordinary challenge for climbers. The routes to the summit are some of the longest in the Himalayas, requiring climbers to spend extended periods at high altitudes. However, Zoja Skubis doesn't plan to stop there. Her next goal is Mount Everest, and in December, she plans to run a marathon in Antarctica.
